Today Is The Day My First Novel Is Published
by Salvatore Pane
I’ve been staring at this screen for about twenty minutes now trying to figure out what exactly to say, how I can possibly explain what I’m feeling. Anyone who knows me in real life knows this is usually not the case, that most times I can’t help but fill the room with incessant chatter everywhere I go. My novel, Last Call in the City of Bridges, is being published today. You can buy it here or here. No more pre-ordering. The physical books are being sent out to readers as we speak. I started writing the book back in April 2009, and now you can hold it in your hands. There are so many people to thank, my family, my publishers, my agent, my friends, my girlfriend, and that’s really the only feeling I have right now: intense, overpowering gratitude. I wrote about this a little on Twitter last night. I’m just so grateful for having so many amazing and terrible experiences. I’m so lucky to know all of you, and we’re all so lucky to have each other in our lives. Each day could be our last but we’re all still trying to be better/do better.
I’m just really thankful. Thank you all so much for being part of this.
